3D-Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

A 3D flow simulation is based on the numerically solved Navier-Stokes equations. During 3D flow simulations components of a system are assessed. Today 3D-CFD is applied in most branches involving fluid functions.

Constant development of the programs enables us to look at complex geometric tasks right up to the use of temporally changing flow regions. As a result 3D-CFD delivers pressures, velocities and temperatures from which others factors like force and turbulence can be deduced. The use of additional models make it possible to investigate chemical reactions, 2-phase-flows, acoustic problems etc.
